Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Returns to B&B January 2015

Steffy Forrester fans rejoice!! The two time emmy nominated Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is returning to B&B late January 2015!

This comes as a surprise to many since the actress recently posted on social media that she would not be returning to the show anytime soon due to scheduling conflicts, but would reprise her role in a heartbeat if the show called for Steffy to return. Shortly afterwards JMW’s opening credits on the show was also removed which seemed to have been the final nail in the coffin. Many are speculating that the actress is returning to help fill the void since Kim Matula is no longer on canvas. We know Brad Bell Jr. wants to recast the role of Hope Logan and he has stated that she is an integral character on the show. JMW is only on recurring status - so she may come and go in between storyline’s. We may not know yet how long JMW will be on our screens for, but at least we can get our Steffy fix! Cha cha cha!

March 2015 Update: JMW has said via Facebook that she will be returning back to B&B for a longer stay. She said, "I will be coming back in April for a much longer stay." She begins taping in April.

Kim Matula (Hope Logan) Has Left the Bold and the Beautiful

Well folks, Kim Matula has left the building. Kim announced on her official Facebook page that she has decided not to renew her contract with the Bold and the Beautiful:

"What can I say about today? I can officially confirm that I filmed my last scenes at The Bold and The Beautiful. For now. . It was a day full of love and laughter and reminiscing about the past 5 years. I made the incredibly difficult decision not to resign my contract so that I could spread my wings as an actor and see what this big beautiful world has to offer. But I can never put into words just how amazing and inspiring this show has been. What a huge part of my life. I do not see this as a "goodbye" but more of a "see you later." Thank you for giving me an unforgettable 5 years as Hope Logan and thank you to every single viewer who sat side by side with me on this journey. Cheers to the next adventure!!"

Who Will Be the Next Hope Logan?

The internet is buzzing with rumours and speculation on who will be the next Hope Logan on the Bold and the Beautiful. When Kim announced she would not be renewing her contract, Brad Bell Jr. said in November he would not be recasting the role. Since then an interview published in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, reports “Hope Logan is a critical and central character to the show.” He added, “Hope will continue to be on the show. We’re losing Kim Matula, who is a brilliant actress, and I am hoping, at some point, she will return in the role — but the role will continue. I’ve lost so many actors and actresses in recent years that I’m excited about the challenge,” said Bell.

Best of luck to Kim Matula and her future endeavors. Kim's last air date on B&B was December 12th, 2014.

March 2015 Update: Kim Matula has returned in the beginning of March for one day of filming. Scott Clifton teased Hope's appearance may be a Skype call but he doesn't know with who.

Hope And Liam Are NOT Meant To Be!

Why does Brad Bell keep trying to make Hope and Liam out to be these long lost, star crossed lovers?! There probably aren’t two people on any soap that are more mismatched and clearly NOT meant to be!

Hope is always too quick to give up on Liam. Couldn’t she have waited a few more minutes in Paris for Liam to get there?! Couldn’t she have tried calling him? This is 2014, everyone has cell phones!

Of course, it’s always ABOUT FREAKIN HOPE. I’m tired of hearing Hope whining how “embarrassed” she was while waiting for Liam at Paris at their special spot (since when do they have a special spot in Paris anyways? This was never mentioned before). Quinn was spot on when she confronted Hope at Wyatt’s; the decision was all Hope’s to run off with Wyatt. Whether Liam got stuck in traffic, had a flight delay, or Quinn pushed Ivy into the Seine, ultimately it was HOPE who decided to leave and marry Wyatt. No one held a gun to her head and forced her to do anything she didn’t want to. She didn’t give Liam the benefit of the doubt, she didn’t believe that Liam would show. So much for their “undying love” for each other (insert eye roll here). Quinn knows Hope is “a person of morals” and thinks she will honour her marriage to Wyatt. This is why Quinn is so smug and is gloating to Liam. All opinions aside, why would someone like Quinn, want a little girl like Hope with her son? Clearly she has a divided heart for both Spencer brothers.

Liam has waffled for years between Hope and Steffy. Now Hope is waffling between Liam and Wyatt – what a freaking hypocrite. If Hope and Liam were clearly meant to be together, then they wouldn’t keep facing one obstacle after another.

If I hear someone say ‘we were robbed’ ONE MORE TIME!

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood says she "would love to come back and play Steffy"

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood took a bit of time to chat with her fans via Facebook and Twitter. Unfortunately for us fans, it doesn't sound like JMW is confirmed to come back to B&B anytime soon:

"I would love to come back and play Steffy but she is a pivotal character on the show. So if I couldn't come back because of a scheduling conflict etc I would completely understand if the had to recast."

"I love the cast and crew at Bnb. I would definitely come back. Its all depending of where storyline is, scheduling conflicts etc. I just spoke with Brad Bell last week so there could be something in the near future. If Steffy is back you know I'll be the first one to tell my fans."

"Absolutely! If the storyline asks for Steffy I'll be there xo"

"If the story asks for Steffy I would definitely come back."

"I love the cast and everyone at Bnb! As of now no but maybe in the near future. All depends on storyline and scheduling. :)"

Based on JMW's comments, it does not sound like she is scheduled to make a Steffy appearance anytime soon.

Is Quinn the Next Sheila Carter?

We already know that Quinn Fuller is certifiably crazy. 

She’s delusional, obsessive, dangerous, and impulsive.

First she stabbed Bill with his sword necklace. Now this week Quinn stabbed Liam with his sword necklace!

Like wtf?

She has the nerve to show up at Liam’s beach house gloating and all smug over the fact Ridge is alive and thinks that Hope will go back to Wyatt now. Quinn is so delusional and out of touch with reality… Just because Ridge was found, does not mean Hope is now going to run back into Wyatt’s arms. One of the main reasons, and in my opinion, a huge deal breaker in Hope’s decision to go back to Liam, was the scary thought of having Quinn as a future mother in law. Quinn would be the mother in law from hell.

Who does Quinn think she is trying to belittle, intimidate and threaten Liam? I certainly think Liam is no prize (see 'L' is for Loser ... and Liam Spencer ) but at least he can stick up for himself when it comes to Quinn. Liam has every right to be concerned when it comes to Quinn because he has been right about her since the beginning. She is completely unhinged and crazy. Quinn has no right to hurt and threaten Liam in any way, and if she does, which we know she will, it will only solidify Hopes decision in why she chose Liam over Wyatt in the first place.

Quinn’s problem (among many others) is that she is way too invested and obsessive over her son Wyatt’s love life. She doesn’t realize or understand that the more she tries to “fix things” for her son, the worse she makes it for everyone around her, especially for Wyatt. Quinn is definitely up to no good and still hasn’t learned her lesson. After stabbing Liam with his sword necklace, Quinn says “You live by the sword, you die by the sword”. This to me sounds like foreshadowing, because she is later seen working in her warehouse with a blowtorch and melting metal. When Deacon shows up, she tells him that she is going to kill Liam – and I don’t think she is joking. My guess is that Quinn is making a full sized sword and is going to try to hurt Liam enough to make him back away from Hope.

Honestly Quinn cry me a river… you’re not always going to get whatever you want whenever you want. Deal with it.

When Does Steffy Forrester Return?

The character of Steffy Forrester is badly needed on The Bold and the Beautiful.

There is no better time than now to bring back Steffy.

It has been a year since we last saw Steffy regularly on the show. After her motorcycle accident that led to the loss of her baby with Liam, we last saw a broken hearted Steffy fly off to Paris. Since then so much has changed:

• New characters Wyatt and his crazy mother Quinn Fuller have been added to the canvas to stir things up 
• Thorne’s daughter, Aly Forrester, has also been added to the show
• It is discovered that Wyatt is actually a Spencer and thus Liam’s half-brother
• Brooke and Bill’s affair become public knowledge
• Taylor, Thorne, Thomas, and Steffy are all living in Paris
• Ridge returns from Paris to LA 
• Ridge is now with Katie and Brooke is now with Bill

Now would be the perfect time to bring back Steffy. Her father is lost at sea, so naturally this would be a perfect reason for her to finally leave Paris. So much has changed within a year that if she were to be brought back she could differently shake things around and stir up some trouble. Some ideas that come to mind: 

• Steffy will always love Liam and has sacrificed her happiness so he could be with Hope and have children with her (at the time this was when Steffy was still unable to conceive). Steffy will always be a threat to Hope because Liam can’t help but gravitate towards Steffy. I’m pretty sure I can speak for everyone and say we’re all sick of Steffy/Liam/Hope triangle, but now there can be a new twist – Wyatt. Steffy could purposely pursue Wyatt thus enabling Liam and Hope being together; this would still cause conflict because Hope was already involved with Wyatt and still cares about him. I think it’s safe to say Hope wouldn’t want Liam or Wyatt with Steffy! I can already hear the Steffy haters saying Steffy always goes after Hope’s sloppy seconds; Oliver, Liam, and Wyatt

• Everyone is already mad at Quinn for sending Ridge the picture of herself and Bill in bed, thus Ridge going after Brooke in Abu Dhabi to stop the wedding which led to him falling out of the helicopter. Quinn was also the driving force of bringing Steffy back to LA, when she wasn’t ready to, in order to share the news with Liam that she can now have children again. Quinn hoped this would make Liam want to go back to Steffy but it did not. Steffy should be no fan of Quinn, for good reason, and if she wanted to she could get back at Quinn for causing her so much pain

•  Brooke is now with Bill. It is no secret that Steffy is no fan of Brooke – If Steffy still has any underlying feelings for Bill (which I believe she always will) she could stir up some trouble for Brill. Besides, who wouldn’t love seeing Steffy and Bill again!

• Her father Ridge, is now with Katie. Everyone knows Katie and Steffy have never been best friends. If Steffy is unhappy with her father being with Katie because of the way Katie has treated her over the years, she could definitely stir up some trouble for them as well. However one of Steffy’s last scenes was with Katie in the hospital where Katie was supporting Steffy over the loss of her child. They seem to have been in a better place so this point may not be possible anymore

• Steffy’s dad is lost at sea. Steffy is incredibly loyal to her family and there is no better reason to bring her back than her concern and fear over losing her dad

• Steffy and the other Forrester’s have taken a back seat in the business world while working at International in Paris. Bringing Steffy back could stir up some much needed competition at Forrester; she could re-launch her Intimates line and be a competitor for Hope For The Future. She could also be a force to be reckoned with in business and show Rick how things are suppose to be run

Writers if you’re reading this please bring back Steffy Forrester! She is terribly missed and needed on this show. She has a huge loyal fan base, and even the non-Steffy fans are incredibly vocal and opinionated on their feelings towards Steffy. Love or hate Steffy, she brings in controversy AND ratings. Give her a knock-out storyline to do with business and romance and it will definitely get people talking. There are way too many Logans on the show and it is making the show off balanced and biased. I am tired of seeing Hope, Brooke, and Katie every day. We miss Steffy, Taylor, and Thomas. Bring back the Forresters!

We know Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is off contract and on recurring status. Work out a deal with her and give her 1 or 2 really good storylines where she can come back for a little bit. We know the actress can deliver on any material she is given. It will be worth it!

Does Ridge Stop Brooke and Bill From Getting Married in Abu Dhabi?

In this week’s B&B, Brooke, Bill, and Ridge travel to Dubai and Abu Dhabi!

It feels like we’ve been waiting forever to watch these scenes air, and so far it has well been worth the wait. The aerial shots that were shown on the show were absolutely amazing and beautiful. I enjoyed the part where Brooke and Bill take a helicopter tour of Dubai to see the various sites and attractions Dubai has to offer. We briefly saw the tallest building in Dubai, which Bill jokingly said was one of his gifts to Brooke, a man-made island in the shape of a palm tree, and various other architecturally beautiful buildings throughout. It was nice to also include a few brief facts about Dubai, such as how almost everything in Dubai is man-made. It was short and sweet – just enough to give us a bit of taste and insight and not too long to bore us or lose interest. Just watching the scenes that were filmed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi was enough to make us wish we could visit!

Bill plans a surprise wedding for Brooke and whisks her away to Abu Dhabi to get married. Ridge is very upset that Brooke actually goes ahead with marrying Bill (see Ridge and Bill Fight Over Brooke ). He wants to stop Brooke from making a huge mistake but doesn’t know how to convince her- but Quinn does…

Leave it to crazy Quinn to always have tricks up her sleeve (after all Quinn Fuller is Certifiably Crazy). She doesn’t want Brooke and Bill to get married just as much as Ridge does. She is always manipulating situations and people’s emotions in order to get what she wants.  Quinn “accidently” sends Ridge a selfie of her and Bill, taken shortly after they had slept together, fully knowing this will engage Ridge and give him the ammunition he needs to stop the wedding. After a few words with Quinn, he races off on the Forrester jet to Abu Dhabi to stop the wedding, hoping that he’s not too late.

These scenes with Thorsten Kaye as Ridge running around Abu Dhabi trying to find Brooke are one of my favorites. I loved when he was on the speed boat in the water searching for Brooke and also when he was running throughout Abu Dhabi. It kind of gave me a soapy James Bond/007 feel, Ridge Forrester style! And I loved every minute of it!

The episode ends in a cliffhanger when Ridge finally finds Brooke and Bill while they are in the middle of exchanging their vows and he yells “Logan!” Brooke and Bill turn around and look shocked to see Ridge there. By the way, where was Justin Barber throughout all of this? Bill brought Justin along on purpose, to be on the lookout for any interferences or disruptions. If he was doing his job he would have known Ridge was on his way or already there! Maybe Justin was jet lagged and still in LA time, and therefore was sleeping on the job? He better have a good excuse because Bill is going to be pissed.

In traditional soap fashion, we knew Ridge was going to find Brooke and Bill, the writing was on the wall; Bill saw Brooke the day of the wedding. Bill, how many weddings have you had and been to? You should know by now that it is always bad luck to see the bride before the wedding!

Ridge and Bill Fight Over Brooke

Looks like Ridge is still the pompous ass we all know and love.

On this week’s B&B Ridge had the nerve to take off Brooke’s engagement ring right off her finger! He took it off because he didn’t approve of Brooke and Bill’s relationship and of Bill being a bigger presence in RJ’s life by being his step-dad.

Last time I checked, I don’t remember anyone asking for Ridge’s opinion?

Ridge then has the nerve to go to Bill’s office where he repeats himself all over again on how he doesn’t want Bill anywhere near Brooke and RJ. He pretty much tells Bill that he is not good enough for Brooke and RJ and to stay far away from them, and that he and Brooke will always be connected. Bill also shared his two cents with Ridge about how he has always mistreated Brooke over the years and that he cannot dictate anymore what she can and cannot do. Bill loved pointing out the fact that Ridge ran away to Paris over a text message Brooke sent to Deacon, and conveniently decided to come back to LA over a year later as he pleased, in which Ridge said something along the line of “it’s more complicated than that”.  These scenes between Ridge and Bill I find entertaining and pretty funny. Bill has a lot of one- liners to Ridge that are funny, like “go sketch another dress to make yourself feel better.” Both actors play very well against each other. Things then start to get really heated when Ridge takes a swing at Bill and they start fighting, right as Brooke walks in the door (Really now Ridge, why don’t you tell Bill how you really feel?). Brooke starts screaming for them to stop but they don’t listen. Brooke pulls Ridge off Bill and she steps in between them to stop the fight. 

I’m sure deep down Brooke loves all this attention that she’s getting from both Bill and Ridge. It’s still unclear at this point if she’s marrying Bill on the rebound of Ridge and Katie’s engagement, or because Bill is her destiny. I have a feeling that the one who is going to be hurt the most out of this situation is Katie. Poor Katie – she is always the third wheel in any relationship. If you recall, there was Bill and Steffy’s relationship, Bill and Brooke’s affair, Bill and Brooke’s lovechild, now Bill and Brooke’s engagement and spur of the moment wedding out of the country, and also Ridge trying to protect Brooke from Bill. Even now, with Katie being engaged to Ridge, he is still going out of his way to protect Brooke.  That last point has to bother Katie.

Quinn Fuller is Certifiably Crazy

Quinn Fuller is not the crazy nymphomaniac we think she is. She’s actually much worse.

She’s dangerous.

This is now the second time we’ve seen her go too far. The first time was when she held Aly over a railing outside Forrester Creations, threatening her to stay quiet about Wyatt stealing the Hope Diamond as a publicity stunt. Now Quinn has locked Liam in the steam room and has turned up the temperature way too high.

People thought Bill went to great extremes to keep Hope and Liam apart in order to keep Steffy and Liam together.  However, at least Bill never physically hurt anyone. Quinn has crossed that line and what she’s doing to keep Liam away from Hope is much worse than what Bill has ever done.

We’ve only known her for less than a year but let’s recap on some of Quinn’s schemes:

• Quinn deliberately sent Hope the tribute video Liam made for Steffy, fully knowing that it would upset Hope 
•  Quinn convinced Steffy to come back to LA from Paris in order to tell Liam the news that she can now have children, hoping that Liam would want Steffy back
• She left a note for Hope on her wedding day to go to the cabin where Quinn knew that Liam and Steffy would be there
• Quinn threatened Aly to keep her mouth shut about Wyatt stealing the Hope Diamon
• She threatened Charlie to not tell Liam about Wyatt stealing the Hope Diamond
• Quinn blackmailed Bill into changing Wyatt’s last name to Spencer or else she’d tell Brooke about their sexcapades
• Quinn locked Liam in an elevator 
• Quinn stabbed Bill with his sword necklace

Quinn has a very unhealthy obsession about her son’s love life. There is no denying her love for Wyatt, however she needs to stop interfering in his life. The more she tries to keep Wyatt and Hope together, the bigger the fall out will be. If Quinn was truly as confident as she appears to be about the strength of Wyatt and Hope’s relationship, she wouldn’t need to keep manipulating the situation. She also needs to stop threatening and physically hurting people who challenge Wyatt, such as Aly and Liam. It is no secret that Quinn does not like Liam, but to lock him in the steam room and turn the temperature up way too high is completely crazy and dangerous. What is she trying to accomplish? Give Liam third degree burns? If something happens to Liam because of Quinn, Hope is going to be furious and very upset. This will also prove what Liam has been saying all along; Wyatt and his mother are dangerous and should not be trusted. The more Quinn tries to interfere, the more likely Hope will choose Liam over Wyatt.
