Does Rick shoot Ridge?

Things are starting to escalate on B&B ever since Rick found Stephanie’s gun in her bedroom drawer. I think it was very disrespectful and rude of Rick to remove Stephanie’s gun in the first place, let alone try to give it to his lawyer as a thank you gift!

But then again who am I kidding? Rick could care less about Stephanie or anyone else really for that matter. Rick and Stephanie never had a close relationship (as Rick said, in Stephanie’s eyes he was always a reminder of Eric and Brooke). Regardless, as soon as Rick tricked Eric into signing papers that gives Rick irrevocable control of being CEO of Forrester Creations, he did not waste any time kicking Caroline out and moving him and Maya into his father’s main house and bedroom (which is really gross if you think about it). Not to mention Rick also removed Stephanie’s portrait and replaced it of one of Maya (which looks incredibly hideous and ridiculous).

Rick is probably one of the last people who should have or be anywhere near a gun. Remember when Rick shot Grant Chambers and Ridge confessed in order to protect Rick? Such poetic justice that now Rick is holding a gun again and may have shot Ridge.

Rick’s lawyer forgot to take the gun with him as he was leaving Forrester Creations. Rick chases after him but he is gone. As Rick is walking back, he notices an office door slightly open, and to his shock it is Caroline and Ridge lying on the couch kissing. Rick in a manic rage holds up the gun and fires several shots!

Who did Rick shoot? Ridge? Caroline? Both?

Did he shoot the designs Ridge and Caroline drew together?

Did he even fire any shots, or was he daydreaming or in a fantasy?

Was he drunk and tried to shoot Caroline and Ridge but missed?

Is this Rick reaching his limit and becoming completely unhinged? Does he actually have a death wish or has he just gone crazy over jealousy and hurt? If Rick is truly over Caroline and “in love” with Maya, then why does he care if Caroline is kissing Ridge? Everything Ridge and Liam has said about Rick acting like a child and lashing out is right on the money. He has always acted like a spoiled brat when he doesn’t get his way. The fact that he even tried to fire Caroline and Ivy was way out of line (way to go Liam for sticking up for Caroline and Ivy and pushing Rick to the floor! Don’t we just love our knight-in-shining-armor Liam??)

By the way, I guess Forrester Creations doesn’t have an HR Department? There is no way Rick would be able to get away with disrespecting everyone at FC. Someone also needs to wipe that smug look off of Maya’s face. Who knows but maybe this is why Steffy comes back to town?

In my opinion I have a feeling Rick either shoots the gun but misses on purpose, hence shooting the pictures or the floor, or he is daydreaming about wanting to shoot Ridge.

Rick and his Revenge against Eric, Ridge, and Caroline

Is Rick purposely trying to destroy Forrester Creations as a way to stick it to Eric, Ridge, and Caroline?

Friday’s episode of B&B was one of the more entertaining episodes we’ve seen in a while. Rick finally was able to convince Eric to sign the papers which enables Rick full and irrevocable control of FC for an entire year (thank you soap gods for not dragging out the usual please-sign-these-papers-or-else storyline for weeks, aka Steffy/Liam’s annulment papers). This means Eric and Ridge have no say and no power to overthrow any of Rick’s decisions. Obviously this is a bad decision and anyone with the slightest business savvy will know better than to sign, but since when has Eric been known to make good decisions anyways?!

Rick is so hurt that Caroline and Ridge kissed that Rick is hell bent on revenge on hurting those who hurt him. First his father appointed Ridge as CEO at Forrester instead of him, but Eric later withdrew that decision since Rick cried and sulked like a baby about it. To make matters worse, Maya exposed Ridge and Caroline. To Rick this is the ultimate betrayal; the betrayal he received from his father, and from his wife. If it had been anyone but Ridge it wouldn’t nearly had been as bad. Rick dislikes Ridge mainly for the way he’s used and treated his mother so poorly over the years (as if Brooke is some sort of damsel in distress, come on now).

Rick is hurt but you can tell he still loves Caroline and is clearly just lashing out. There are moments when you can see hesitation in his eyes when he is with Caroline. Caroline may be fighting to win Rick’s heart now, but after Rick revealed that it is Maya and not Caroline he wants to lead Forrester Creations into the future with, it will be Rick who will be begging Caroline for forgiveness in the end. Poor Maya is just a pawn and rebound in Rick’s plan. His intentions towards her may be good, but he is clearly using her to get over and stick it to Caroline. Maya is also completely delusional in thinking she will be the next Forrester matriarch. Yes she does love Rick, but it also doesn’t hurt that his last name is Forrester and he has a huge bank account. Wonder if she would still love him if he were to lose it all? After all, Rick was ready to leave all the perks of being a Forrester behind, but it was Maya who kept reminding him that it is his right to be at the helm of Forrester Creations and that he should take charge in doing so.

What I’m curious to see happen is whether Rick’s intentions towards Forrester Creations are actually pure in that he wants to lead the company in his direction without any interferences? Or will his first order of business be firing Eric, Ridge, and Caroline, and then burning down Forrester Creations? 

  

Ivy – what a letdown. She had enough courage to confront Rick and Maya about their kiss, yet she let Rick bully her into staying quiet about it. He told her he would have her fired and essentially sent back to Australia if she exposed him. Did Rick forget Ivy is a Forrester? She can’t be fired from the family business. The worst that could happen is being sent down to the basement or to International. However if Ivy did open her mouth about Rick and Maya, then Eric would be peeved that Rick had been fooling him about his intentions towards leading the company into the future with Caroline, and thus revoking his decision in appointing him CEO. Then no way would Eric sign those papers and be in this mess to begin with. We pretty much wouldn’t have a show to watch either.

What Ricky boy doesn’t realize is that none of this will end up well. Eric, Ridge, and Caroline will all have the last laugh, not Rick and Maya. This may be the reason why Steffy comes back to town. Steffy is a majority stareholder of FC. Maybe the combined shareholders will come together to oust Rick? Anything is possible in soap load after all. I can see Bill having a role in this as well. Not only is he also a shareholder, he is also Caroline’s uncle and will no doubt be none too pleased about Rick hurting his niece.

Does Ridge Stop Brooke and Bill From Getting Married in Abu Dhabi?

In this week’s B&B, Brooke, Bill, and Ridge travel to Dubai and Abu Dhabi!

It feels like we’ve been waiting forever to watch these scenes air, and so far it has well been worth the wait. The aerial shots that were shown on the show were absolutely amazing and beautiful. I enjoyed the part where Brooke and Bill take a helicopter tour of Dubai to see the various sites and attractions Dubai has to offer. We briefly saw the tallest building in Dubai, which Bill jokingly said was one of his gifts to Brooke, a man-made island in the shape of a palm tree, and various other architecturally beautiful buildings throughout. It was nice to also include a few brief facts about Dubai, such as how almost everything in Dubai is man-made. It was short and sweet – just enough to give us a bit of taste and insight and not too long to bore us or lose interest. Just watching the scenes that were filmed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi was enough to make us wish we could visit!

Bill plans a surprise wedding for Brooke and whisks her away to Abu Dhabi to get married. Ridge is very upset that Brooke actually goes ahead with marrying Bill (see Ridge and Bill Fight Over Brooke ). He wants to stop Brooke from making a huge mistake but doesn’t know how to convince her- but Quinn does…

Leave it to crazy Quinn to always have tricks up her sleeve (after all Quinn Fuller is Certifiably Crazy). She doesn’t want Brooke and Bill to get married just as much as Ridge does. She is always manipulating situations and people’s emotions in order to get what she wants.  Quinn “accidently” sends Ridge a selfie of her and Bill, taken shortly after they had slept together, fully knowing this will engage Ridge and give him the ammunition he needs to stop the wedding. After a few words with Quinn, he races off on the Forrester jet to Abu Dhabi to stop the wedding, hoping that he’s not too late.

These scenes with Thorsten Kaye as Ridge running around Abu Dhabi trying to find Brooke are one of my favorites. I loved when he was on the speed boat in the water searching for Brooke and also when he was running throughout Abu Dhabi. It kind of gave me a soapy James Bond/007 feel, Ridge Forrester style! And I loved every minute of it!

The episode ends in a cliffhanger when Ridge finally finds Brooke and Bill while they are in the middle of exchanging their vows and he yells “Logan!” Brooke and Bill turn around and look shocked to see Ridge there. By the way, where was Justin Barber throughout all of this? Bill brought Justin along on purpose, to be on the lookout for any interferences or disruptions. If he was doing his job he would have known Ridge was on his way or already there! Maybe Justin was jet lagged and still in LA time, and therefore was sleeping on the job? He better have a good excuse because Bill is going to be pissed.

In traditional soap fashion, we knew Ridge was going to find Brooke and Bill, the writing was on the wall; Bill saw Brooke the day of the wedding. Bill, how many weddings have you had and been to? You should know by now that it is always bad luck to see the bride before the wedding!

Ridge and Bill Fight Over Brooke

Looks like Ridge is still the pompous ass we all know and love.

On this week’s B&B Ridge had the nerve to take off Brooke’s engagement ring right off her finger! He took it off because he didn’t approve of Brooke and Bill’s relationship and of Bill being a bigger presence in RJ’s life by being his step-dad.

Last time I checked, I don’t remember anyone asking for Ridge’s opinion?

Ridge then has the nerve to go to Bill’s office where he repeats himself all over again on how he doesn’t want Bill anywhere near Brooke and RJ. He pretty much tells Bill that he is not good enough for Brooke and RJ and to stay far away from them, and that he and Brooke will always be connected. Bill also shared his two cents with Ridge about how he has always mistreated Brooke over the years and that he cannot dictate anymore what she can and cannot do. Bill loved pointing out the fact that Ridge ran away to Paris over a text message Brooke sent to Deacon, and conveniently decided to come back to LA over a year later as he pleased, in which Ridge said something along the line of “it’s more complicated than that”.  These scenes between Ridge and Bill I find entertaining and pretty funny. Bill has a lot of one- liners to Ridge that are funny, like “go sketch another dress to make yourself feel better.” Both actors play very well against each other. Things then start to get really heated when Ridge takes a swing at Bill and they start fighting, right as Brooke walks in the door (Really now Ridge, why don’t you tell Bill how you really feel?). Brooke starts screaming for them to stop but they don’t listen. Brooke pulls Ridge off Bill and she steps in between them to stop the fight. 

I’m sure deep down Brooke loves all this attention that she’s getting from both Bill and Ridge. It’s still unclear at this point if she’s marrying Bill on the rebound of Ridge and Katie’s engagement, or because Bill is her destiny. I have a feeling that the one who is going to be hurt the most out of this situation is Katie. Poor Katie – she is always the third wheel in any relationship. If you recall, there was Bill and Steffy’s relationship, Bill and Brooke’s affair, Bill and Brooke’s lovechild, now Bill and Brooke’s engagement and spur of the moment wedding out of the country, and also Ridge trying to protect Brooke from Bill. Even now, with Katie being engaged to Ridge, he is still going out of his way to protect Brooke.  That last point has to bother Katie.

B&B Dubai and Abu Dhabi 2014 Update: Katherine Kelly Lang tweets pics!

B&B travels to Dubai and Abu Dhabi! Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) tweeted some pictures on her Twitter of her and fellow Bold and the Beautiful cast members filming on location in UAE! Scenes have been filmed in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and are set to air May 23rd to June 6th! I'm incredibly excited to see these episodes and can only imagine what happens between Brooke/Bill/Ridge!
